Cindy’s art reflects a deep connection to animals and nature, expressed through vivid colors and a distinctive style that challenges conventions and celebrates the beauty of the natural world.
Cindy Wiggins grew up on a horse farm in upstate New York surrounded by a variety of animals, inspiring her early passion for drawing and painting. From a young age, she favored vibrant colors in her work and pursued art avidly through her teens, winning awards and entering contests while exploring different subjects as her surroundings changed.
After moving to central Florida, Cindy balanced her career as a dental hygienist with motherhood, putting her artistic growth on pause during those years. Later, her lifelong love of horses rekindled her dedication to art, leading her back to drawing and painting the creatures she cherishes.
Now living on the coast of Florida, Cindy’s focus has expanded to include waterfowl and shorebirds, which she photographs to capture diverse environments and inspire her paintings.
Largely self-taught, Cindy embraces a Contemporary Expressionist style that prioritizes abundant, bold colors and creative freedom. She continues to evolve as an artist, following her own unique path and pushing her work toward the uncommon and unexpected.
Her limited collection remains available at High Tide Gallery as she transitions to South Carolina for family reasons.
