GG Northington

GG Northington grew up surfing and racing motorcycles along the beaches of Southern California, where her deep love for the coast began. Long walks collecting seashells and sea glass became treasured rituals—quiet moments that eventually sparked a lifelong passion for art.
She was especially drawn to sea glass: discarded bits of tumbled glass transformed by the ocean into smooth, frosted gems. What others saw as debris, GG saw as beauty—and over time, these discoveries became the heart of her creative expression.
Today, GG lives in St. Augustine, Florida, with her husband Rob and their dog Bella. Together, they form a creative partnership: GG brings her vision and love for the sea into each design, while Rob hand-builds the custom frames from wood milled in their own workshop. Each artwork is a true collaboration, combining her eye for composition with his craftsmanship and care.
In addition to creating her vibrant coastal pieces, GG offers occasional art classes that provide a joyful and hands-on introduction to her process. These sessions reflect the same spirit she brings to all her work: warm, uplifting, and deeply connected to the natural world.
Whether as a mother, teacher, artist, or friend, GG shares a spirit of happiness that radiates through everything she does. Her hope is simple—that her work brings a little bit of sunshine and love into the lives of those who see it.
