Inspired by a lifelong love of art and history, Jerry crafts hand-painted tavern signs that capture a timeless charm—customizable heirlooms designed to tell your story.
Jerry Redding began creating tavern signs during college, initially as a project for a speech class. That single assignment sparked a thriving endeavor, leading him to sell over 180 custom signs to his very first customer. What began as a way to pay tuition soon became both a profession and a creative outlet—fueled by his deep love for history and art.
Jerry studied at Arizona State University, the Hartford Art School in Connecticut, and the University of Connecticut, where he earned his Bachelor's degree in history. His artistic training was further enriched by studying under renowned muralist Rudolf Zallinger, famed for his Age of Reptiles mural at Yale’s Peabody Museum.
After teaching history for more than twenty years, Jerry now focuses his creativity on making original tavern signs—handcrafted works that celebrate Americana, heritage, and the unique character of each client. His signs are fully customizable, allowing customers to co-create meaningful pieces for their homes or businesses.
“My love for art and history is only preceded by the love I have for my family and friends,” Jerry says. That sentiment echoes through every sign he paints—rooted in tradition, made with care, and built to last.
