Glass

Anke’s fused glass art transforms heat and color into unique, vibrant pieces that celebrate the unpredictable magic of her craft.
Originally from Germany, Anke Kelly has lived in the United States since 1963. Her lifelong interest in the arts has led her to explore many creative mediums, but it was a visit to Venice and the island of Murano that sparked her passion for fused glass.
In 2005, Anke began creating and selling fused dichroic glass jewelry. After moving to Florida in 2018, she expanded her artistic focus and eventually found her niche in fused glass pictures. Her work features layers of cut glass, glass paint, frit (crushed glass), and stringers, all fused onto a base of fusible glass in a kiln heated to over 1350°F.
Each piece is hand-cut, assembled, and fired with care, making every design one of a kind. While her process may be consistent, the results are never identical — the kiln adds its own unique magic each time. All of Anke’s designs are original and cannot be duplicated, reflecting her commitment to craftsmanship and individuality in every work she creates.
