Linda Gordon

Palm Coast, FL

Glass

Linda’s jewelry and mixed media art are vibrant expressions of her lifelong curiosity and love for Florida’s coastal landscapes.

Born with a curious spirit and an artistic eye, Linda Gordon has lived in many places—New York, California, and West Virginia, with most of her time rooted in New York. She moved to Florida over 20 years ago, drawn by the warmth and natural beauty of the coast. “Warmth soothes my soul,” she says, and it’s easy to see how the colors and textures of Florida’s beaches have become part of her creative inspiration.
An artist for most of her adult life, Linda’s creativity spans decades and mediums. From jewelry making and silversmithing to stained glass, fused glass, clay, painting, and other crafts, she has a passion for experimenting with techniques and pushing her artistic boundaries. Her specialty lies in jewelry, where she works with wire wrapping, flame painting on copper and titanium, and metalwork. She is a proud member of several gem clubs that continue to inspire her artistic evolution.
Linda has been part of the High Tide Gallery family for over five years, though her journey as a maker and exhibitor spans more than 50 years. She’s also showcased her work in several Florida galleries for over 15 years. As both a lifelong learner and educator—with over 30 years in teaching—Linda brings a natural gift for instruction and inspiration. Her passion for learning led her to the William Holland Lapidary School, where she expanded her skills and found joy in teaching others to create. She’s taught numerous classes in gem tree making, wire wrapping, and flame painting, sharing her talents generously with others.
For Linda, art is always evolving. She finds joy in mastering a new technique and sharing it with the world. “When people see my work and love it,” she says, “it makes me smile with content, knowing someone appreciates the art I made.”
