Manila Clough
St. Augustine, FL
Mosaics

Manila transforms everyday surfaces into luminous works of art, using glass, ceramic, and color to capture the elegance of nature and the spirit of place.
Since 2006, Manila Clough has been creating fine art mosaics that combine beauty, craftsmanship, and a passion for materials. Her mosaics are built from richly colored stained glass, hand-formed ceramic elements, repurposed china, crystal beads, seashells, and other carefully selected pieces. Each element is chosen or made with intention, and her ceramic components are sculpted by hand, then fired, glazed, and re-fired in her own kiln to create custom textures and finishes. The result is a body of work that feels layered, detailed, and deeply expressive.
Manila's mosaics range in scale from small framed works to large installations, and her art has been featured in both public and private spaces across Florida. She has completed numerous architectural commissions including backsplashes, columns, patios, and accent walls, all designed to bring vibrant, light-catching detail to warm-climate interiors and exteriors. Her subject matter often reflects the natural and built world, with wildlife, florals, landmarks, and seascapes appearing frequently in her designs.
Working primarily by commission, Manila brings a collaborative spirit to each project. She tailors her work to suit individual spaces and styles while maintaining the intricate craftsmanship that defines her aesthetic. Her mosaics are not only visually compelling but also durable, making them ideal for long-term installations that stand up to Florida’s environment.
As a High Tide Gallery artist since 2024, Manila continues to share her shimmering, story-filled mosaics with the St. Augustine community and beyond. Her work invites viewers to slow down, explore the details, and see familiar spaces through a new and colorful lens.
