Margie and Tom Bolean

St. Augustine, FL

Jewelry, Metal, Mixed Media

Margie’s work is a graceful fusion of biology and beauty, blending fine metals and painterly landscapes to honor the delicate rhythms of nature.

Born in Yonkers, New York, Margie Pucciarelli-Bolean has spent a lifetime nurturing her love for both science and art. She studied plant and wildlife biology at the University of Maryland, where she also pursued her passion for the visual arts. It was during this time that she first discovered silversmithing, a medium that would eventually become a core part of her creative identity. Her dual interests in natural forms and artistic expression continue to shape every piece she creates.
Margie is best known for her handcrafted silver and gold jewelry, which often reflects organic shapes and textures inspired by the natural world. As the founder of Metalartz Gallery in downtown St. Augustine, she helped create a vibrant space where artists could showcase unique, one-of-a-kind works. Through Metalartz, Margie built a reputation not only as a skilled artisan, but also as a mentor and advocate for the local arts community.
Now semi-retired, she devotes more time to her personal artistic practice. In addition to her jewelry, Margie works in both watercolor and oil, capturing the beauty of landscapes, seascapes, birds, and butterflies. Her paintings, like her jewelry, celebrate the quiet elegance of the natural world and reflect her lifelong connection to it.
As part of High Tide Gallery since 2023, Margie continues to share her refined artistic vision with visitors and collectors. Whether working with metal or paint, she brings a sense of reverence, craftsmanship, and wonder to each piece she creates.
