Rooted in a lifelong passion for water and nature, Patricia’s work reflects a unique blend of skill and creativity that brings fresh energy to St. Augustine’s art community.
Patricia grew up in Wisconsin on the shores of Lake Michigan, where her deep connection to water and the natural world began to shape her artistic vision. She pursued formal art studies at the University of Wisconsin, focusing on painting, and later earned a B.A. in Art History from the State University of New York, expanding her appreciation of art’s rich traditions and contexts.
Her career includes a decade of teaching drawing and painting at the Roberson Center for the Arts & Sciences in New York, where she inspired countless students while honing her own artistic skills. Transitioning to full-time painting, Patricia embraced the freedom to develop her personal style and explore a wide range of subjects and techniques.
Although she is primarily known for her watercolor works, Patricia has expanded her practice to include acrylic painting on large canvases, allowing for more vivid expressions of her themes. Alongside painting, her interest in photography has grown, influencing her sense of composition and light. She has also ventured into crafting seaglass jewelry, integrating her love for coastal materials into wearable art pieces.
Patricia has been a dedicated participant in numerous art shows across the East Coast, consistently receiving recognition for her talent and vision. Since moving to St. Augustine 15 years ago, she has become a respected member of the local art community, continuously contributing through exhibitions and creative collaborations that celebrate the region’s unique beauty.
