Paintings

Randy’s paintings are a bold celebration of color, texture, and emotion, bringing energy and depth to both contemporary and traditional subjects.
With an eye for the abstract and a love for impressionism, his work invites viewers to feel as much as they see. Originally from central Illinois, Randy lived in Tallahassee, Florida, for 40 years before relocating to St. Augustine in 2023. He and his wife Debra, also a professional artist, have shared a creative life together while raising their three children.
A primarily self-taught artist, Randy has been drawing and painting throughout much of his life. He began painting professionally in 2007 and quickly found collector interest in his unique fusion of impressionistic and abstract styles. Working in acrylic, his paintings are known for their vibrant color, bold texture, and expressive interpretation of the world around him. Whether creating from inspiration or on commission, his work appeals to those who appreciate both contemporary and classic influences.
Randy has played an active role in Florida’s art community for many years. He has been selected to exhibit annually at the LeMoyne Chain of Parks Art Festival from 2008 through 2025 and served on the board of directors at the LeMoyne Center for the Visual Arts from 2010 to 2012. He is also a past Vice President of the Tallahassee Area Watercolor Society. Alongside his wife Debra, he has exhibited in three Side by Side shows at LeMoyne. His artwork is currently on display at Weezie’s and Strauss Gallery in Tallahassee, as well as at High Tide Gallery in St. Augustine and Luxury for Less in Ponte Vedra Beach.
Now a member of the St. Augustine Art Association, Randy continues to explore new styles and techniques while remaining rooted in the joy of painting. His work reflects both passion and versatility, offering something meaningful to a wide variety of art lovers and collectors.
