Star Neeley’s life has never been devoid of creativity. Instilled with artistic curiosity by her mother, fellow High Tide Gallery artist, Judy Snyder, Star has found success through her hands-on love for crafting. “Art was both practiced and encouraged throughout my childhood,” she says. “My mother introduced me to painting when she would have Bob Ross frequently playing on the television.” Sparking a lifelong curiosity for a wide variety of mediums, Star’s early artistic exposure has led her through a deeply personal history with her creativity firmly at the helm. “Following back surgery, my mother explored alternative pain management and experimented with essential oils,” Star explains. “That is when she started an aromatherapy bracelet business.” During Judy’s recovery, Star began assisting her mother with prepping for upcoming events and developed an affinity for creating the pieces essential to the business. “Through my mother’s encouragement, I took over the business and immersed myself in the St. Augustine art scene,” Star elaborates. Taking her creativity to new heights, Star incorporates lava rock beads, which are designed to hold pure essential oils into her bracelets and anklets. “My jewelry caters to a wide variety of themes and motifs featuring oils sourced from an American family business and materials researched and tested for long lasting performance,” she says. “Each piece is handmade and personalized.” Utilizing other exotic materials like crystals, pearls, mermaid glass, semi-precious stones, and sea glass, every piece of jewelry that Star creates embodies quality and celebrates individuality and wellness.
