With an eye for color and a spirit of exploration, Barbara Remensnyder brings nature to life through fluid, expressive paintings that pulse with movement and joy.

Barbara Remensnyder is a versatile artist who works in watercolor, acrylic, and alcohol inks. Her pieces celebrate the flowing rhythms, intricate patterns, and vivid hues found in the natural world—capturing moments of beauty with boldness and heart. Whether painting traditionally or experimenting with contemporary mediums, Barbara approaches each canvas as an opportunity to explore and discover.
Her formal art training began more than 30 years ago at Palm Beach College, and she has remained committed to growing her skills ever since. Over the years, she has been an active member—and board member—of several art organizations in Western North Carolina and South Florida. Her work has been exhibited in solo shows and juried exhibitions, earning her numerous awards and accolades.
Barbara’s art has also been featured in publications such as Bold Life Art Magazine (Hendersonville, NC) and as a cover artist for The Laurel of Asheville Arts & Culture Magazine. She is passionate about teaching and sharing her creative process with others, helping new artists unlock their own visual voice.
Her work is held in private and corporate collections throughout the United States and abroad, including in Brazil, Canada, and Europe. Always inspired and always evolving, Barbara continues to push the boundaries of her practice while staying true to the joy and energy that first drew her to paint.
