Patty Magee

Palm Coast, FL

Paintings

Patty’s art holds space for reflection, comfort, and connection. Rooted in both science and soul, her paintings are gentle reminders of the beauty that persists—even in the midst of illness or uncertainty.

A native Floridian from Jacksonville, Patty Magee has always called the South home, drawn to the sunshine, the sea, and the charm of St. Augustine—her favorite city. Her dual passions for art and healing emerged early in life. At five years old, she dreamed of becoming both a nurse and an artist, and her path would ultimately lead her to embrace both callings.
Patty began her formal artistic journey through an adult night class at her local high school, eventually earning degrees in nursing education, studio art, and a Master’s in Art in Medicine from the University of Florida. While her education was extensive, she considers her most formative lessons to have come from time spent alongside other artists and from painting in real-life settings—especially at the bedside, where she created personalized works for patients navigating illness and recovery.
Today, Patty works in acrylic and watercolor, blending color, emotion, and story to create artwork that promotes wellness and inner calm. Her paintings often carry quiet, personal messages—reflections on hope, renewal, and the resilience of the human spirit. Through both her medical and creative work, Patty has witnessed the healing potential of art firsthand.
Since joining High Tide Gallery in June 2023, Patty has continued to use her art as a bridge between emotional expression and well-being. Her work has been shown in spaces such as the juried University of North Florida Art Gallery, the Bank of America Tower, and exhibitions supporting Habitat for Humanity and nursing scholarships. Yet for Patty, the greatest reward remains the act of creating itself—a peaceful practice rooted in purpose, empathy, and care.
